finance a series of projects to produce extensions to the software which is used for the wikimedia foundation projects. New areas for using wiki software for http://wikiversity.org, media, and usability should be explored.

- 8'000 chf per project, 7250 for the student doing the coding, 750 for the mentor / mentoring organization

- 2010-02-05: project ideas finding, mentor finding finished
- 2010-02-19: projects proposals finalized
- 2010-03-07: students applications received
- 2010-03-27: student applications verified, clarifications requested, ranking student applications done
- 2010-04-01: accepted applications announced
- further dates to be clarified with summer break
- 2010-09-15: final evaluation of delivered code done
variations
- the program is designed so that it can be easily extended to international. payments might be adjusted to match international living standards.
- the deadlines are just a proposal and might turn out differently
- other variants instead of coding possible, i.e. produce statistics, digitizing and other forms of content production, etc.
sponsoring
a donator program will be attached, so a higher leverage can be achieved.
