General Assembly 2011
On Saturday April 30th 2011, 11:00, the General Assembly will take place in Zurich.
- Location: Zentralbibliothek Zürich (route map), conference room (P 01.1) downstairs from the entrance

Guided tour
At 11am, library staff will welcome us in the entrance hall and guide us through the Library, with special attention to the digitalization centre (ca. 30 minutes), where f.ex. old books for the e-rara project or items of the graphics collections are being scanned. In the second part of the tour we have the opportunity to look at some of the hidden spots of this big library, mostly underground, as well as an introduction to the public sectors and workplaces (another 30-40 minutes).
Lunch
The cafeteria next to the conference room is open. Lunch will be served, a warm meal (pork, vegetables, and noodles) for everybody at the association's expense.
Assembly
The assembly starts between 1 and 1.30pm. After the points on the agenda, we will continue with a workshop. Several themes are to be evoked:
- GLAM (cooperations between WM CH and Swiss galleries, libraries, archives and museums, f.ex. the Federal Archives)
- Communications equipment, website, webtools
- Wiki loves monuments 2011 (photo contest)
- Sozialzeitausweis/dossier bénévolat
- etc.
